sometimes I think the answer is yes. to some extent. we certainly seem to fall into the same traps repeatedly and repeatedly have to get out of them.... just to shortly find ourselves back again. I don't know if we are doomed, per se, but I do feel God is usually trying to work something out inside us and if he really wants to work it out, sometimes it takes allowing us to fall into the same traps repeatedly just to help us in the end. Just my 2 cents. :)
